Montessori Community Summit
Saturday, October 6th 2012
MacDowell Montessori School
@ Juneau Campus 6415 W Mt Vernon Ave
Schedule of Events
1:00 p.m. Glass House
Observe Montessori preschool, elementary, middle and high school classrooms in session.
In 1906 Maria Montessori first introduced Montessori to America at the San Francisco World’s Fair. She introduced the Montessori Method by staging the Montessori Glass House whereby the public could watch a Montessori classroom in action. It is our hope to provide the same experience for the Milwaukee community by having students working in their Montessori classrooms so that the public can witness the wonders of a Montessori classroom in action. Please join us for this hour and half tour where you can actually see a Montessori classroom live and in person.
2:30 p.m. Keynote Presentation with Trevor Eissler
“I drop my kids off at school in the mornings and breathe a sigh of relief — not only because the decibel level in the car just dropped significantly, but because I know that although they are not at home, they are in the next-best place.” -Trevor Eissler
Trevor is a business jet pilot, flight instructor, father of three, international speaker on the Montessori Method and author of Montessori Madness* www.montessorimadness.com
