MPS students make the gold standard in the AATG German Exam

Numerous Milwaukee area high school students earned a Gold Certificate’s for the 2012 AATG National German Exam this past Thursday. The American Association of Teachers of German offers its National German Exam annually.

The students placed at or above the 90th percentile nationwide, which fulfills an eligibility requirement for Study Trip Awards granted by the AATG and the PAD, an office of the German Foreign Ministry.
 
This year’s recipients include 14 students from Rufus King High School and 13 students from Milwaukee School of Languages. The Gold Certificate was also awarded to students at Wauwatosa East, Wauwatosa West, Greenfield, Arrowhead, Tremper, Brookfield East, Nicolet and Mukwonago.

Other nominees for this year’s Gold Certificate are Michael Sportiello, a junior from Brookfield Academy; Laurel Tieman, a junior at Mukwonago High School; and Sam Raimann, a senior from Homestead High School.
