Four MPS teachers named Star Discovery Educators

Four Milwaukee Public School teachers have been named STAR Discovery Educators by Discovery Education.

Sally Ferguson of Samuel Morse John Marshall School for the Gifted and Talented, Amy Baumgart of Allen-Field Elementary School, Charlene Drum or Dr. Benjamin Carson Academy of Science and Leden Wood of River Trail School were all recognized for their efforts in using digital media and technology to enhance their students’ learning experiences.

The teachers are all active members of the Discovery Educator Network (DEN), a global community and resource network of educators who are passionate about teaching with digital media and technology.

The teachers will be given access to “a wide range of free professional development activities” provided by Discovery Education.
