Brewers bullpen catcher Marcus Hanel, along with his charitable organization, Koos for Kids, and the Brewers Community Foundation, are teaming up again this year to keep over 700 Milwaukee kids warm this winter.
Representatives from both organizations and the catcher himself will distribute new coats to students at Milwaukee’s Hayes City-Wide Bilingual School, 2431 S. 10th St., and Parkview School, 10825 W. Villard Ave., tomorrow at 10 a.m. and noon.
Hanel, who is a Racine native and current resident, started Koos for Kids to help terminally ill and disadvantaged youth in Southeastern Wisconsin.
According to its website, Koos’ annual coat distribution has provided over 1,500 coats to disadvantaged kids in the past three years.
