Common Council president Willie Hines will join State Superintendent of Instruction Tony Evers in a “4th Street Forum” Thursday at Turner Hall, 1034 N. 4th St.
The discussion, titled “Political Dynamite: Paying for Wisconsin’s Schools,” takes place at noon and is moderated by the Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s Denise Callaway.
The panel also includes Public Policy Forum research director Anneliese Dickman and Greenfield School District superintendent William Hughes.
The forum will be taped and will air Oct. 1 and 3 on Milwaukee Public Television.
Two other recently televised forums in September also focused on education and included, among others, new MPS superintendent Gregory Thornton, school board member Terrence Falk and Stephanie Walters of the Milwaukee Teachers’ Association.
The public is welcome to attend the forums.
