One hundred students from six area high schools will participate in Discovery World’s “Building the Water Generation,” a special program created to help high school students understand the importance of freshwater resources.
The program will take place Tuesday, Dec. 13 as part of Discovery World’s United Nations-recognized Thirst Program. It will include presentations from industry, political and education leaders, as well as hands-on sessions.
Among the high schools taking place are three from MPS – Bradley Tech, School of Urban Planning and Architecture and Project Learning Institute – along with St. Joan Antida, Milwaukee 4H and Waukesha 4H.
A quarter of the 100 students participating attend Bradley Tech.
Discovery World is also making plans for a second program to be held later this school year.
