St. John’s on the Lake, 1840 N. Prospect Ave., hosts a three-part series on education in October and November.
Alan Borsuk — a senior fellow in law and public policy at Marquette University Law School and a veteran education reporter — will be keynote speaker for the first session of “What’s Happening in Our Public Schools Locally and Across the Country,” slated for 4 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 7 in the third floor conference room at St. John’s.
Two weeks later, on Oct. 21, Borsuk is joined by the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee’s Michael Barndt and former teacher Suzanne Osetek lead a discussion called “What Works,” also at 4 p.m.
Borsuk and Barndt close out the series — moderated by St. John’s on the Lake’s Jean Tyler — with a Nov. 4 discussion called “Politics of Education,” at 4.
