Milwaukee Public Schools are starting the new school year with a boost from the business community.
Johnson Controls, Inc. has donated a plug-in electric and an all-electric vehicle to Pulaski High School’s automotive program. This donation will create what is believed to be the first program in the nation to give students access to today’s most advanced vehicle technology.
Johnson Controls’ engineers and scientists will also serve as mentors and coaches to help the students learn about these new technologies.
Additionally, Sonic will award grants to seven teacher projects at Allen-Field and Thurston Woods Elementary Schools as part of the restaurant chain’s Limeades for Learning initiative.
More information on Limeades for Learning is available online.
