North Shore Bank announced that public online voting has begun in a contest designed to honor local teachers who focus on money management education. The bank will reward the three winning teachers, one from each of the bank’s three regions, with a check for $1,923. The amount comes from the year North Shore Bank opened.
Nominations for the award were accepted through Oct. 4. A panel of North Shore Bank financial experts then narrowed the list down to eight teachers from across the three regions.
The nominees from the North Region are Michelle Gibson from Sturgeon Bay High School and Scott Christy from Green Bay East High School. From the Central Region, the finalists include Chris Gagne from Shorewood High School, Jeff Trask from Whitefish Bay Middle School and Sara Burling from Menomonee Falls High School. Lastly, the nominated teachers from the Southern Region are Kevin Jones from Cudahy High School, Tammi Fure from Lincoln Intermediate School in West Allis and Scott Neumann from Humboldt Park K-8 in Milwaukee.
The voting period began on Oct. 15 and runs through Nov. 3. To vote, go to www.northshorebank.com/90Contest.
