PNC awards grants to several area preschool initiatives

The PNC Foundation announced a grant to the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum today. It will create a park-like exhibit that explores environmental stewardship and offers educational activities to improve understanding of nature and ecological science.
Beth Wnuk, PNC regional president for Wisconsin, also awarded additional grants to First Stage Children’s Theater, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Wehr Nature Center and Milwaukee Center for Independence. The money will support arts, math and literacy programs for under-served children.
As a part of these efforts, PNC will donate 4,000 “Happy, Healthy, Ready for School – Math is Everywhere” activity kits, created by Sesame Workshop, to supplement mathematics learning for Milwaukee preschoolers.
